Getting an AI Key
An AI key is like a special password that lets the game ask an AI to write fresh questions and grade close answers. A grown-up should set this up — it takes about 5 minutes. Open the addresses below in your web browser.
EASIEST — GOOGLE GEMINI (free plan available)
1. Go to aistudio.google.com and sign in with a Google account
2. Click Get API key → Create API key
3. Copy the key (it starts with AIza) and paste it into the box above
CLAUDE (ANTHROPIC)
1. Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account
2. In Billing, add a little credit — $5 lasts a very long time
3. Go to API Keys → Create Key
4. Copy the key (starts with sk-ant-) and paste it into the box above
CHATGPT (OPENAI)
1. Go to platform.openai.com and create an account
2. Add a little credit under Billing
3. Go to API keys → Create new secret key
4. Copy the key (starts with sk-) and paste it into the box above
Good to know: keep your key secret like a password, and never share it in messages or screenshots. Each round of AI questions costs a fraction of a cent from your credit.
